This British made Acrylic filter is highly unusual it has an etched surface which creates a colourful circle of lines round any light source, the greater the light intensity the better the effect. Please see the photo to show you the type of effect you can expect.
Diffraction filters produce dazzling effects, these filters have tiny lines etched into the surface that produce a light diffraction like a prism, without altering the overall image.
Make sure your subject matter has a bright light, the effect works best with direct sunlight or electric lights. The darker the background and lighter the light source, the more profound is the effect.
These filters were made by a process no longer possible, once we have sold out, we will not be able to make any more.
This filter comes in a rotating ring so you can position the effect where you would like.
Using different focal length lenses changes the appearance of the effect, the one in the photo was taken using a 90mm lens.
NB : There is no writing or labeling on the ring and supplied in plain packaging.
