Built to withstand use in harsh climates while still offering notable optical quality, the angled viewing HR 66 GA ED/45 66mm Spotting Scope from Opticron features a five-element apochromatic objective lens system. With two Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements, it maintains high viewing resolution and clarity with chromatic aberrations. To further benefit this design, all air-to-glass surfaces have N-type extra-wide-band multi-coating that improves contrast, color accuracy, and transmission.

Complementing the optical design of this scope is an equally robust magnesium alloy housing that has been filled with nitrogen for protection against fogging-up and moisture. Textured rubber armoring improves handling, as does a centrally-located focusing wheel. The scope also provides a 1/4"-20 tripod mount on a rotating collar and a retractable lens hood.
